Hot water heater Re-circulation pump
Re-circulation pumps are a great cost effective way to get hot water on demand. If you have a large home and the nearest hot water heater (really large homes have two sometimes three units) is more than 50 feet or so away from one of our faucets it's going to take a long time to get hot water to that sink. This Temecula had a 75 gallon hot water heater installed in the garage but it is probably around 100 feet away from the kitchen sink faucet! The cheap way to fix this is to install a Re-circ pump at the hot water heater and what's called a comfort valve at the furthest faucet away from the hot water heater. The comfort valve is set to allow hot water to be pumped back into the cold water line system until it reaches 95-100 degrees thus allowing hot water to be available at all faucets that are between the furthest faucet and the water heater.
