Sink Silicone repair

Silicone is commonly used to seal areas where two or more dissimilar materials meet. Such as a kitchen sink and countertop or a toilet base and tile flooring or shower tile to shower pan etc. The silicone in these areas can wear out or get dirty and need replacement. At that point the thing to do is clean out the old silicone and install a new bead of silicone to the joint. After that you will need to clean things up to get that professional finish. One of the tricks is to make sure you put enough silicone in without over applying which will make a huge mess and leave you with a lot of clean up or a ugly bead of silicone. After that you will need a damp sponge and a rag to get your silicone repair dialed in.
