Leaky Hot water heater shut off valve

This hot water heaters old gate valve was leaking and needed replacement. Sometimes the gate valve will break of at the stem and leave the gate valve closed or barely open. We change old gate valves out for new ball valves which tend to have a longer working life and tend to hold up to the occasional servicing of your hot water heater. If you remember to close all your angle stops and supply valves at least once a year you will save yourself lots of money on repair costs.
