Garage conversion/Addition

This detached garage was part wood shop and part storage with a simple roof that we tore off and built this second story apartment on top of. We are currently installing the roof sheating and facia. Next we will move onto the roofing as the main priority in hopes that we can get the exterior weather ready! This type of project is very complicated and requires expert engineering, quality plans, and a serious contractor. Thankfully we have all the experience and tools needed for this type of project.

Some of the difficulties in this phase of the project included: Demo debris and sorting, Temp electrical power, Wall framing and general site access issues. 

Here you can see we sided the apartment with a product called T111 which is a cost effective alternative to stucco and other exterior sidining options. 

The whole structure was wrapped in Tyvek house wrap.

Here the roofing is under way and the siding is completed. More pictures to come!
