Plumbing P-traps

You might not have ever looked under one of your sinks. Unless of course you've been one of the unfortunate few that have had a sink plumbing leak. P-traps are the unseen workhorses of your sinks functionality. They don't care if it's nice clean soapy water or mouth wash you throw at them they just quietly keep gulping down water for your sinks drain. They do several very important things for your sinks all day every day: one of the most important things P-traps do is keep stinky sewer gases from leaking back into your home. Second they "trap" most items you might accidentally drop down your sink! Think wedding ring. Thirdly P-traps connect your sinks drain tailpiece to the rest of your homes plumbing drain system.
